Apr 17, 2007: Fan review from Myspace.com of EoF's newest promo CD featuring new line up.
"FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!"
"Your band totally rocks out! This level of quality is not what I was expecting to hear. For one, I haven't heard too many metal bands with a female vocalist. Sarah has an exceptionally vibrant voice. Powerful, yet very listenable, and she doesn't over power the music. Then there's the well placed gravelly Growl vocals. Got to have that, and you're doing it hardcore, yet in the "right" dosage.
Tight, fast, raw yet harmonic, phenomenal guitar work! You reach shred proportions, but keep melody in sight. That's very important imo, helps the listener retain song distinction, and keeps all the songs sounding unique.
Near perfect rhythms, but not so perfect as to sound totally machine-like, keeping the rough metal edge intact. The driving force of that rhythm is your wicked fast drummer, driving bass extraodinairre, and hard hittin, heavy chunkin, tight rhythm guitar. Excellent musicianship with the multiple time sig changes. That is no easy task, keeping everyone together with all the changeups you employ.
!: Wow! got it all goin on in this one... everybody is tearin it up. FAST, tight, and no let up in the attack. I can hear this being played on a movie soundtrack... during a manic battle scene!
They Thirst: bam baby! possibly my favorite cut. The "fly into the sun" chorus is now officially stuck in my head, lol! But that's a good thing. Cool change up at the refrain. This is definitely Top 10 Metal material imo. Again, this would work well in a movie... maybe during a wild chase scene!
Lost: You take it down a 1/2 step for a more eerie feel. But it then excellerates to lightspeed during the refrain! Excellent lyrics... I'm hearing this in a movie as well, placed right before the forces of good and evil are ready to lock up in an epic battle.
AWESOME WORK PEOPLE! Slide over Evanessence, there's some new guns in town, and their name is... ECHOES OF FEAR!"

July 12, 2006: Brave words and bloody knuckles review of EoF's first CD featuring original/former members.
"Beginning with heavy riffing and pounding drums, it seems as though Echoes of Fear is lurking in the shadows of Pantera or Testament...then "Evil D" starts to sing and ruins everything with his weak power metal vocals. Obviously attempting to soar beyond his capabilities , this is a severely misguided frontman. To make matters worse, cheesy narrative death metal backing vocals are employed resulting in a laughable dichotomy. Brian King's guitar solos are adequate but slightly dated. Omitting all vocals and lyrics, this San Francisco five-piece has potential - and a cool album cover - but the aggressive music is hampered by fluff. Serious changes are required."
